West Parry Sound Recreation and Cultural Centre Board May 8 Meeting Highlights

Parry Sound, ON (May 10, 2024) – The West Parry Sound Recreation and Cultural Centre (WPSRCC) Board heard several project updates at their May 8 meeting, including the latest developments related to site preparation at 44 Joseph Street and plans to build momentum for the fundraising campaign.

Project Manager Andy Gordon from Gordon and Gordon Group shared that the project continues to be on budget and the team has been approved to proceed with 18 contract recommendations, at a cumulative value of $15.6 million.  Saeed Sadeghi, from CS&P Architects, shared the latest update to their design to include additional gymnasium seating, as directed by the board.

The WPSRCC Board also passed two recommendations from the steering committee: to invest in a six-month Moose FM radio campaign that will invite local businesses to contribute to the project; and to engage Banko Creative Studio to support graphic design needs of the board and fundraising team.
